Awaken Your Inner Life, Transform Your Practice

Opening:

What does it mean to awaken your practice as an educator to teach and lead in ways that honor your inner teacher, crystalize your pedagogy, and weave together  inclusive frameworks to center the wellbeing of each student in your care? That’s what Reveye Virtual Institute is designed to support participants to achieve. Reveye means to Awaken in Haitian Creole. Your facilitator, Arlène Elizabeth Casimir is honoring her heritage, lived experiences, research and practice to design, facilitate and implement a transformative experience for educators.

Options: 

Participants may choose to register for one or all cohorts. While each cohort can function as a stand alone learning experience, it will be a cumulative experience for those participants who choose to attend more than one. Registration is required for each cohort. 

*Special Rate for schools who sign up or groups of more than 3 participants who sign up together. 

Cohort A

Tuesday, July 18 to Thursday, July 20, 2023 

7:00pm - 9:00pm EST.  

$300 per participant

The Head, Heart, and Hand Series is a collaborative and strategic study group for educators to be supported with building collective momentum around equity, social emotional and social justice work. 

Arlène will offer concrete strategies, lesson plans, charts, resources and videos to integrate social emotional learning, healing centered and trauma informed teaching across the day. 

If you are wondering how to support students with these competencies and how to co-create lessons for each category, this is the group for you. 

You’ll walk away with a plethora of activities and resources you can implement right away, 

There will also be an opportunity to reflect on the implementation to refine and improve our practices.

Cohort B

Tuesday, August 1 to Thursday, August 3, 2023.

7:00pm - 9:00pm EST.  

$300 per participant. 

The Strategic and Lesson Planning Series is a think tank and action research group. Our goal will be to co-create a collective momentum where everyone will learn how to care for the whole human being of each community member. This group is for: 

-Early adopters who need someone with more experience to spread the SEL, SJ and Equity Work . 

-Educators who want to  think about the ways equity, culturally responsive, social justice and social emotional work is communicated, spread and shared across the school.

Cohort C 

Tuesday, August 15 to Thursday, August 17, 2023. 

7:00pm - 9:00pm EST.  

$300 per participant  

The Inner, Outer Series is a collaborative and transformative learning study group for educators to be nourished and supported  with integrating culturally responsive, healing centered, and trauma informed pedagogy in their lives and in their teaching, across all content areas. 

Whether it’s emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually, educators are always giving, holding space, and filling the cups of their colleagues, students, and of families. Sometimes, to the point of depletion. This can especially be the case in these unprecedented times. The question is: who fills teachers’ cups, who holds space for and nourishes them?

Through expert customization, Arlène will design, facilitate, and evaluate responsive experiences that invite teachers to take the inward journey to create sustainable outer change in their respective roles and classrooms.

Purpose: 

The  Reveye Institute is a  summer course to awaken a community of educators that combines groundbreaking scientific research and inclusive educational frameworks into useful tools for participants. Frameworks include culturally and linguistically sustaining pedagogy, healing-centered engagement, literacies across content areas, social emotional learning, social justice education, and trauma-informed teaching. Teaching is an art, a science, a profession, and a practice; this summer course will provide a space for educators to be guided, nourished, and recharged to show up authentically in their community and practice for the 2023 - 2024 school year.
